Why Would You Like It?
You looked at quite a few of these “non-contact” forehead thermometers before making this purchase. This is the one you chose. Glad everyone did! Love it! Lightweight, accurate, easy to read. So much easier to aim at the forehead and squeeze the trigger to get a quick temperature than the other kind that goes in the ear.
Everyone leaves it out and uses it every day. Also great to check everyone easily and without interrupting their sleep. This one also lights up green when you have no fever, yellow if slight fever, and red if in the high zone. Another great feature is there’s a setting to switch the thermometer from “BODY” to “SURFACE” and this allows you to scan the temperature of a surface.
(Like bathwater, stove, or anything) I thought the price was a bargain. Everyone looked at higher-priced models as well as lower ones. This was a great “middle of the road” priced one that is of excellent quality with extra features. Highly recommend this one!
This IR thermometer has a very narrow range of temperatures it displays. IF I point it at your hair, the lowest temp I’ve seen is 93.6F. If the temp reading is much below that it just displays “Lo”. Hence it probably has a range from 93F to 108F as a guess.
This one is much better for humans and eternity is better for no humans. I read 94F on Etekcity and 98.6F for this unit on my forehead. This is made for people.
